Welcome Psychological Science students to spring semester 2015!
Beck Hall is filled with the hustle and bustle of returning students ready to tackle their second semester of the academic year. Personally, I’m delighted to have you all back on campus as it’s your energy that makes Gustavus a great place.
Sigmund Freud wrote:
“One day, in retrospect, the years of struggle will strike you as the most beautiful.”
― Sigmund Freud
Now – I’m not saying that college is always a struggle, but the late study nights, tedious final exams and plethora of papers can make is seem as such.
Yet the start of the semester reminds me of Freud’s words. These initial days are filled with optimism and ebullient energy. Students abound with creative enthusiasm for this semester’s coursework, reuniting with friends and participating in multiple campus activities.
And while we know that finals, papers and long days are ahead – right now is a beautiful time revel in and tuck away for retrospective memories ~ enjoy!
