Dr. Alyssa Kaying Vang, PsyD
Gustavus Adolphus College’s Psi Chi chapter recently invited Dr. Alyssa Kaying Vang, PsyD, to speak with our Psychological Science students. Dr. Vang is a licensed clinical psychologist who discussed how she promotes mental health in adults and children in the Twin Cities area. In particular, she spoke to her experiences as being the first Hmong-speaking licensed psychologist in Minnesota, and how she modifies her practice in order to be sensitive to issues of acculturation and assimilation.
