Gustavus Adolphus Senior Heidi Pontinen
Each year, the Department of Psychological Science nominates a Gustavus senior with exceptional promise for the MPA Donald G. Paterson Award in Psychology/Outstanding Senior Undergraduate Student.
Congratulations, Heidi Pontinen, this year’s nomination from Gustavus Adolphus College!
The MPA Donald G. Paterson Award is given to an outstanding college senior planning a graduate career in psychology. The purpose of this $350 award is to recognize and encourage high achievement in psychology at the undergraduate level.
Requirements include superior undergraduate achievement, both in psychology and in the broader areas of undergraduate education, potential for further work in psychology, and personal characteristics and attributes which appear to contribute to effective work in the field of psychology.
Heidi is a shining example of achievement in both her studies as an honor student and extra-curricular activities which include being a Psi Chi executive board member, co-president of The Coloring-Crew and active musician on campus.
